Passion Tennis Training was founded solely out of passion for coaching and a genuine desire to help individuals in their growth and achievement of their goals.
This is not another "tennis academy" where a large number of players spread on tennis courts and go through repetitive "drills" with no particular reason, plan, or attention - only for a maximized profit to the "business" owners. This is not run by yet another former tennis player who cannot earn living doing anything else because playing tennis is all they learnt to do in life. This endeavor was not thought to be an enterprise - a money making opportunity, nor is it a "survival" vehicle for a former player.
This project, however, came from a place of passion, and self belief in one's ability to coach, inspire, and motivate individuals to perform beyond their assumed potential. As a matter of fact, the founder had years of experience running a successful business and a prestigious career as a registered professional in the building design industry. Money was not the motive. This was founded purely out of passion for the sport and for coaching, and a firm belief in self ability to help athletes grow and succeed in their journeys.
Our coaching philosophy revolves around our belief in natural growth and development over time by building a clear understanding of oneself, understanding who we are as humans, what qualities we possess, where we want to be, and how we should pursue our goals.
In the core of our philosophy, we believe that an athlete - a player, is a reflection of the human they are. Their athletic development is part of their overall development as humans. Our role is to help develop the human by developing the athlete - through the sport of tennis.
We do not believe in preset developmental criteria, a specific coaching style or a methodology for helping humans develop their skills to reach their goals. We believe that everyone's needs are different. Their abilities and goals are different. More importantly, their developmental paths and journeys are different. Therefore, we strongly believe in customization, and in individuality of learning and developing.
The Passion methodology advocates for individualized, custom, and deliberate training plan bought into, and committed to, by the player, and the coach.
